Your focus is making sure the products have a label, they’re clean, they’re stocked, just that everything looks, what they call, grand opening ready.

So the work that we do here at night is basically we unload trucks. And then we, as a team, pack everything out onto the shelves. Make sure that the shelves are packed down and straightened fully. And make the store, basically, grand opening ready every morning. I’ve been in other industries and I would never leave Home Depot, because I love the working environment. I love my fellow peers and my management team.

So they’ve been very flexible. I needed something that was going to go around my schedule out of the building. I was able to come in and work in the morning, which is usually about six o’clock to maybe twelve o’clock. And then I went to school and then came back and closed the store, like from five to ten pm. And there is always an available store, if I was to move state to state in a transfer.

It’s challenging, but that’s a good thing if that makes sense, because there’s a lot going on. You’re not just doing one thing, you’re doing several things at one time. Delivery times may vary, especially during peak periods.

Staff provided people with reassurance and comfort when needed and treated them with respect and dignity. Staff supported people to maintain and gain independence with activities of daily living. Staff also communicated with people in a way they understood. The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.

We found staff were responsive, attentive and treated people in a kind and considerate manner. The service had robust systems in place to ensure medicines were administered, recorded, stored and disposed of in line with good practice. Staff had comprehensive knowledge of the medicines they administered and the correct procedure in ensuring identified errors were addressed immediately. Specialisms and services

At our last inspection in June 2016 the service was rated ‘Good’. At this inspection we found the service continued to support the rating of good and there was no evidence or information from our inspection and ongoing monitoring that demonstrated serious risks or concerns. This inspection report is written in a shorter format because our overall rating of the service has not changed since our last inspection. People’s needs were assessed, planned and delivered in a way that met their individual needs and requirements. People were supported to eat and drink enough to meet their nutritional needs.

Staff we spoke with demonstrated understanding of their roles and told us they enjoyed their jobs. Risks were assessed for people and plans were in place to address identified risk. Staffing levels were adequate, staff were trained and competent in their roles and the home was staffed 24 hours per day.. There was a plan for how staff should respond to emergencies. There were management plans in place which provided guidance to staff to reduce risks to people. Staff were trained on safeguarding adults from abuse and knew the procedures to follow to report abuse and to protect people.

This home accommodates 46 residents in 42 single and 2 shared rooms.

The home cares for elderly including people with learning disabilities. Additionally, the residency is able to support people with dementia and physical disabilities. There was a range of quality assurance systems in place to identify, assess and monitor the quality of service provided.

Corrandulla Nursing Home

For many people, it is their sole place of residence and so it becomes their home, although they do not legally own or rent it. Both the care that people receive and the premises are regulated. Also known as Care & Repair agencies, are local non-profit organisations set up to help older people think about, plan, finance and organise work on their homes.

This site offers providers of services, accommodation and related advice a free opportunity to advertise what you do. The site’s 4 million visitors a year comprise roughly 45% older people, 45% younger family and relatives, and 10% professionals who work with older people. Fairmount is a large care residence situated in London housing a maximum of 38 individuals.

They have the gym and other rooms for other activities. My sister was in a wheelchair for a while, but now she is walking with a walker. I didn't get to mingle too much with the staff, but I was in the dining room when my sister was eating, and the staff was very good. Most of the people were foreigners, but they were very nice, very clean, and very good with the residents. The dining room is very small, they don't have too many people in there.

We spoke with eight people who used the service, six staff members and five relatives. People received care and support from sufficient numbers of suitable staff to meet their needs. The service had robust procedures in place to ensure suitable staff were employed.

Daily help, including personal care, is available on site and one or more meals are available daily in a dining room or restaurant. Additional facilities are also common – for example hairdressing salons, hobby rooms and gyms. Organised activities will focus on helping residents maintain their health and wellbeing. The service has two units, one with 27 beds which provides nursing care to older people and the other with 25 beds which provides intermediate care and rehabilitation. There were 52 people living at the home when we visited. This unannounced inspection took place on 21 December 2018.

Find a Centre

A representative of the nursing home did not respond to a request for comment. Among the problems flagged at the homes were a failure to keep proper maintenance records, a failure to collect and analyze water samples and a failure to keep the required cleaning or inspection appointments. Amsterdam Nursing Home was an older but excellent, very elegant, and clean place with good rehab. The staff was good, but the social work was not so good. The food was not good for my husband, but the dining room on the rehab floor looked fine.
